Michael Bernard Harris is a quintessential Palm Beacher, a resident of the island for many years and a member of The Breakers of Palm Beach; a member of the Gentlemen of the Garden (GOG), which is the main fundraising arm of the Ann Norton Sculpture Garden, and a member of the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach. He is also a man of many talents -- an artist represented by a New York gallery; a musician; avid art collector and former grower of prize-winning roses. He holds a BA in Philosophy from the University of Scranton, Pennsylvania and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Painting from Marywood University, Scranton, PA. His post-graduate degrees in Theology are from the Gregorian University in Rome, Italy where he lived for four years. As a polished real estate agent of Douglas Elliman, Michael offers clients extensive knowledge and expertise in buying and selling estate homes and condominiums in the Palm Beach area. In addition, Michael understands the practical aspect of building renovations and restoration so he can advise clients on properties under consideration. His personal property holdings include a ranch in Southwestern Idaho and a historic home in Northeastern Pennsylvania. His extensive world travels have given Michael a network of international clients especially from Italy/Sicily, Northern Ireland and Germany. He speaks their languages, understands their needs and can smooth over cultural differences to bring transactions to a happy conclusion. Over the years Michael has met many famous people including Mother Teresa of Calcutta, Pope John Paul ll, President and Mrs. George H. W. Bush, and President and Mrs. Ronald Reagan. Fundraising and charity work are his avocations and he has made five mission trips to Haiti.
